Now that we're into the new year, we're stoked to share an update that we hope will make renting with Kova even easier, especially for families.
After offering two different ebike models for the past year, we've officially made the switch to a single, all-purpose option: our Low Step Tour ebike. Riders have loved this bikes since we introduced it this time last year, and the feedback has been universally positive.

Every Bike is Now Passenger-Ready
The best part of this switch? Every single ebike in our fleet is now equipped to carry passengers.
In the past, passenger seating availability depended on which model you ended up with. Now, there’s no guesswork. Whether you’re booking one bike or several, you can count on your rental being ready to handle extra riders.
We’ll continue to offer our
add-on child seat for kids under 40 lbs, which remains a great option for younger riders. But this update really shines for families with kids in that tricky in-between stage.
Solving the “Hard Age” Problem (6–7 Year Olds)
If you’ve ever tried to plan a bike outing with a 6- or 7-year-old, you already know the challenge:
- Too big for a traditional child seat
- Not old enough (under Utah state law) to ride their own bike on public trails
With our new all-Low-Step fleet,
passenger seating is no longer limited, meaning those in-between-age kids can ride comfortably and safely every time. No more worrying about availability or model mismatches.

Moving to a single model allows us to:
- Offer a more consistent rental experience
- Reduce confusion during booking
- Ensure passenger accommodations for families and groups

The Low Step Tour e-bike has quickly become our favorite for exploring Southern Utah: easy to mount, smooth to ride, and adaptable to a wide range of riders and passengers.
